HAYAG
a Tagalog word meaning "to emphasize or impart"
is a non-government initiative led by young Filipinos. Together, we wish to create a platform bridging impoverished Filipino communities and those who wish to help. Our projects aim to create innovative and just solutions for communities lacking basic needs funded by your kind donations. Fueled by passion, empathy and the generosity of our community, we aim to give back, hoping to give some relief to struggling Filipinos.
PROJECT KAHEL
This Christmas season has arrived, and unlike any other year, we are going be spending the holiday amidst a global pandemic. Most, if not all, of our Christmas traditions, will have to wait, but Hayag hopes to maintain and emphasize one tradition that thrives in adverse times like these - the spirit of giving.
Project Kahel is a fundraiser for various causes that aims to uplift the Filipino people during this difficult time, as well as provide our Hayag Community with the means to share their blessings and spread light this season.
This project is in collaboration with
Home for the Golden Gays
Bantay Bata
Bantay Bata is a social welfare program that aims to aid disadvantaged and at-risk children through various programs. We hope to provide the children across all pillars of Bantay Bata with Noche Buena packs as well as to support ongoing and future Bantay Bata projects.
Rolly Relief and Rebuilding
For many years, Que Rica has worked closely with Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management, for short 'APAD', to provide immediate and lasting relief for communities in Bicol in the wake of a disaster. We hope to not only provide relief but to also help rebuild Albay, which was severely hit by the recent Typhoon Rolly.
Home for the Golden Gays
Home for the Golden Gays is a non-profit organization that provides support and care facilities for elderly members of the LGBTQ+ community. We hope to provide them with basic needs such as food, hygiene kits, and money for rent.
THREE AVENUES FOR FUNDRAISING
1. Gift a postcard
With a minimum donation of ₱250, you will receive a postcard that you can give to your friends and family as a gift. The postcard will contain a QR code that allows for the recipient of the postcard to choose which among our three beneficiaries the donation goes to! You can opt for a physical postcard (delivery charges apply) or a digital one (sent through email); so no matter where you are, you can participate in this project.
You can order through this link: bit.ly/kahelorderform
(You will need proof of payment!)
2. Partner Businesses
For the month of December, our partner businesses will allot a portion of their earnings for Kahel. Much like the postcards, our partner businesses will be giving gift tags with QR codes that they can give away with every unit sold during our partnership. This way, with every purchase from one of our partner businesses, you have the opportunity to choose where the portion of your spending goes.
3. Direct Donations
We will also be accepting monetary donations for our beneficiaries through any of our Hayag donation channels, namely, PayPal, GCash, BPI, Unionbank, and Metrobank.
